Join us at this joint Action Hampshire and the Hampshire Leadership Forum event on Friday 8 November at The Arc, Winchester at 10:00.

At the ‘Raising the voice of the sector’ event you will have the chance to broaden your depth of knowledge and given a platform to raise your voice within the public sector. Key members of the Hampshire Leadership Forum will be hosting round tables to hear your views about issues which matter to you and your organisation. There will also be a chance to attend a workshop.

Hear more about the Hampshire Leadership Forum (HLF) round tables

Join a HLF round table and share your views and flag your challenges. Here is a introduction to each table.

Influencing Hampshire County Council, lessons from climate change groups

Chris Holloway, Chair of Hampshire Climate Action Network, talks about the different ways that small climate groups influence Hampshire County Council’s policies and action on the climate.

You will have the opportunity to meet with HLF representatives through a series of round table discussions to hear more about their role and to express your views so these can be taken back to the various boards within local government.

Hampshire Health and Well-being Board

Julie Amies, Chief Executive of Energise Me, will talk about the different ways she represents the VCSE sector on the Hampshire Health and Wellbeing Board through practical examples. She would love to hear from colleagues about what’s important to their organisations and the people they serve. And how they think the VCSE sector can use its influence better.

An introduction to Councils for Voluntary Service (CVS) across Hampshire

Daniel Neat, Chief Executive of Basingstoke Voluntary Action, provides an introduction to CVS’s across the county and the work they undertake.

Book on to a workshop!

We will be running a series of workshops during the event. When you register, you’ll be given the option to choose which one you’d like to attend. Here’s a description of each.

Impact measurement

Always hearing the buzzwords ‘impact measurement, ‘evaluation’ and ‘monitoring’, but don’t know where to start? Join our Introduction to impact measurement workshop to explore the meaning and importance of impact measurement and learn practical skills you can implement in your organisation to evidence your success and pinpoint your challenges. By the end of the workshop you’ll be ready to measure your organisation’s impact effectively!

Energy awareness

Join us to find out more about how you can support your beneficiaries to reduce their energy use, save money and be safer in their homes. We will also discuss the Priority Services Register and support services you can refer your beneficiaries to for additional support.

Rural communities

This workshop will focus on the various factors which make rural communities great places to live.  We’ll share our experiences of what it is that makes rural communities thrive, agree key messages for us to share with our networks across all sectors and map out the support available for rural communities and organisations across Hampshire.
