Get energy efficiency help with your premises and find out Kevin’s tip when it comes to completing your application.

Act soon: the deadline is Thursday 20 June for the energy audits

The Government has funded a grant scheme for charities and other non-profit organisations to have independent energy audits carried out on their premises and then energy efficiency and generation measures identified in the energy audit.

The deadline for the energy audit aspect of the scheme is on Thursday 20 June so we urge you to look at this as soon as you can. For the main grants (to pay for energy efficiency and generation projects), the deadline is Friday 14 August.

The VCSE Energy Efficiency Scheme is being run by a charity called Groundwork and there is much more information on their website.

Kevin’s top tip!

Make sure you read all the guidance notes and the questions list, which is right at the end of the Programme Guidance document.

Both strands of the grant scheme have a question about whether your organisation could borrow money to fund energy-related improvements. See the main grant application questions list (above Q18) for notes on how to answer this question – these notes will also be helpful for applications to the energy audit fund but they aren’t included in that list of questions.
