Join us for a Dragon’s Den with a social conscience! Our upcoming SOUP events are a fantastic opportunity to network, find out about good causes, and make a difference!

On Monday 16 June, Wednesday 18 June and Thursday 19 June, we’ll be hosting SOUP events in Portsmouth and Southampton. Members of the Hampshire community are invited to listen to the pitches, enjoy a bowl and cast their vote at our SOUP events for just £3 each.

SOUP, an acronym for Supporting Our Urban Projects is a socially focussed initiative where individuals or local organisations are invited to pitch an idea to their community at a SOUP event. The audience listens to the pitches, discusses them over a bowl of soup and then votes for their favourite. The winner receives £500, funded by the organisers as well as the takings on the door.

This year’s theme is all about getting Portsmouth and Southampton more active. So we’ve partnered with Active Portsmouth Alliance and Southampton Place Partnership, to encourage communities to present ideas for how to get their communities up and moving the Portsmouth and Southampton to improve their physical and mental health. Empowering individuals and local organisations to help themselves is the approach Action Hampshire takes to addressing health inequalities.
