Lloyds Bank Foundation recently published a report: “Commissioning in Crisis. How current contracting and procurement processes threaten the survival of small charities”. You can read the full report via this link.

They carried out research with a range of smaller charities across the UK. The report made alarming reading, so Action Hampshire carried out its own survey to see if findings were replicated at a local level in Hampshire.

Approach

An online survey was circulated around Hampshire’s voluntary and community sector organisations in October/November 2017.

181 responses were received answering 12 questions relating to local commissioning practices.
