Running a community hall or centre can be lonely work.

If you’re the only paid staff member then a lot of the work and responsibility might be resting on your shoulders. If you’re a trustee then you might feel it’s up to you and your fellow committee members to keep things running, with very little help from the wider community. We can help.

Connect online

If your organisation is an Action Hampshire member, then you can use our online message board to connect and mutually support your peers across the county. Click this link to become a member!

Would you like some pointers towards fire safety advisers, architects, or electricians? Do you have fundraising ideas and want to see how others have got on with similar events? Now you can – through our Basecamp account, which you can find more information about via this link. Just email Kevin via this link and we’ll invite you to join.

Connect face to face

We work with the Councils of Voluntary Service and district / borough councils across Hampshire to run regular events where you can meet and share ideas with other people running community halls and centres.

There are meetings every 3 months or so in each part of the county, so make sure you are signed up for our newsletters via this link to get news of forthcoming events. You can find more guidance on community buildings by clicking this link.
