For over 70 years, Action Hampshire has played a critical role in supporting Hampshire’s communities. We've done lots of things over the past 70 years. Today, we have four main functions.

Sector Support
We are an infrastructure organisation. As Hampshire's county-wide Council for Voluntary Services, and Rural Community Council, we provide support to thousands of voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations. In doing so, we support Hampshire's VCSE sector to thrive.Our sector support includes providing advice and guidance, carrying out research to understand how the sector is doing, sharing information through our newsletter and Basecamp forums, and working with our equivalent organisations around the country to champion local VCSE sector.Find out more about CVS' via this link, or click this link to learn about Rural Community Councils.

Member Network
We are a network of members. We bring together organisations for networking, support and learning. Members play a critical role in our governance structure, ensuring our work remains relevant to the sector.Our membership offer was relaunched in 2022 in response to member feedback. Our member network offers networking groups and events, amplification of member activities, exclusive information, capacity building and support.

Partnerships
We lead innovative projects in collaboration with incredible partners. Our partnerships benefit the VCSE sector in Hampshire and the communities it serves. We aim to fill gaps and work together. As an infrastructure organisation, we focus on supporting the sector rather than individuals.Our current partnerships include Communities Against Cancer, Warmth Matters, Fratton Big Local, Hampshire Homes Hub and Communities Tackling Loneliness with Transport in Hampshire.

Services
We deliver high-quality services for VCSE and statutory organisations and small-medium enterprises. We have a strong track record and a wide range of skills to offer.From back office support services like finance audits and communications support, to training, research and consultancy, we offer our expertise, skill and networks to organisations needing additional support. Our enterprise trading activities ensure we can deliver our charitable mission as an infrastructure organisation in a climate of reduced statutory funding.
