Hampshire Market Garden CIC grows organic vegetables on a beautiful site at Rushmere Farm in Hambledon using sustainable farming methods to encourage biodiversity and enhance the natural environment.  The whole team works hard to provide delicious, seasonal, healthy and local food for local people.

Why grow locally?

Growing organically and locally has many benefits for the community such as greater freshness and nutritional content of food with faster delivery, fewer food miles and no use of toxic chemicals which is better for the soil health, the environment and the consumer.

Our no-dig methods require lots of physical effort and we therefore actively encourage volunteers to come and get their hands dirty and muck in with all the farming jobs from weeding to sowing and shifting compost.  We love to encourage educational visits and team days to promote a connection to local and seasonal food.

What’s on at Hampshire Market Garden?

You can find more on our website about our workshops and events coming in 2025 such as composting, no-dig, EV, solar powered irrigation, and local producers’ markets, films and discussion panels on regenerative farming and environmental topics.

Benefitting the community

As a not-for-profit we work closely with our charitable partners in Hampshire to provide healthy vegetables to organisations working with vulnerable people in our community who offer food and cooking workshops for their participants.

Linking with mental health charities

Hampshire Market Garden is looking to partner with community organisations or support groups promoting the mental health benefits of working outside in nature and learning about growing vegetables and plants. If your organisation would like to get involved in this please contact debbie@hampshirevegbox.co.uk
