Since launching the Hampshire County Council funded “Let’s Be Smokefree Hampshire” in 2025, we have seen some fantastic engagement from Hampshire VCSE organisations. Following their Action Hampshire workshop attendance, grants of up to £2000 have been awarded to organisations across Hampshire, who are now running projects and events to help raise awareness of the Smokefree services available to Hampshire smokers. These organisations include: Age Concern Gosport, Headway Portsmouth & SE Hampshire, Awaaz FM Community Radio, Rushmoor Healthy Living (RHL), Unity (Southern) Ltd., and Citizens Advice Gosport

We’re pleased to share some feedback we have received from attendees of the Let’s Be Smokefree Hampshire Workshops:

“I just wanted to write to you quickly and say how refreshing it is to come across Action Hampshire’s approach to project working.”

“Thank you ever so much, the workshop was really informative and very well presented!”

If your organisation would like to apply for the Let’s Be Smokefree Hampshire grant, the next Action Hampshire online workshops are:

  • Tuesday, 21 April 2026, 13:00 – 14:30
  • Wednesday, 13 May 2026, 11:00 – 12:30
