It was a pleasure to meet many of you at our ‘Healthy Futures’ themed AGM last Thursday. We had a room full of VCSEs, stakeholders, sponsors, staff and trustees. We were honoured to welcome many VIPs including the Mayor, Deputy Lieutenant CBE and Councillor Nick Adams-King from Hampshire County Council.

Nicky, our CEO shared the impact we have made with our partner VCSEs and introduced our new Theory of Change. Read on to find what made this year’s AGM so special!

We presented our new Theory of Change

By defining our vision and purpose we developed a clear definition of our organisation. Through Action Hampshire “VCSEs and communities take collaborative action in partnership with other sectors that improves health and increases fairness and inclusion.”We demonstrated our impact

We had so much positive news to share, but to keep it brief here are some topline statistics! In 2024/5 we supported 400 VCSES and funded 88 organisations to carry out their amazing work in the community. Our newsletters recieved an average open rate of 50.3% and our social media reach is 307,500.

We received some brilliant feedback

The AGM’s theme centred around health equality and we invited some organisations involved in our health projects to share how Action Hampshire was helping to make

Patrick O’Shea from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated care board said “working with Action Hampshire has been a real eye opener for us, it has been really insightful and it’s going to really inform what we do going forward”.

Bel’s Wathen from Health Bus said  “Our Communities Against Cancer grant which has raised awareness for the team also had a great impact on our homeless community.”

We welcomed five new trustees to the team

We are delighted to announce that the following trustees have been officially elected to our board. They are Victoria Baird, Jane Brook, Francesca Cockshull, Katie Muncer and Jacqui Evans. We’ll be sharing more about each one once they settled in!

A huge thank you to our AGM contributors!

Over the coming weeks we’ll be sharing videos from a variety of organisations we have worked with. These demonstrate how we help strengthen and grow communities. A special thank you to Shelley Howett from the National Lottery Fund who delivered a fantastic presentation about the fund’s commitment to health equality.
