Action Hampshire’s New Trustee, Nagina Kaleem!

Nagina Kaleem is a professional science teacher with over two decades of experience promoting girls’ education in Pakistan. After personal circumstances forced her to leave this work, she moved to the UK and faced various challenges, including a Cancer diagnosis and cultural differences.. Despite the difficulties, she persevered and completed her treatment, and began volunteering with various organisations to better understand the culture and values of the UK. Through her volunteer work, she noticed the lack of participation and isolation many women, particularly immigrants, face in their communities. This motivated her to continue working to empower and support women in the UK, and she has made it her mission to use her skills and experiences to create a more inclusive and equal society. She is currently running a social enterprise called Cross-Culture Hub in Southampton to fulfil her compassion for empowering and educating women.
Nagina Kaleem found that international communities coming to the UK remain isolated in their own pockets and despite various opportunities, they find it difficult to integrate in the society. So, she started a unique community service based social-enterprise, Cross-Culture Hub CIC supporting immigrants to be better included in the society.
