There were two main strands to this project:

  • older people’s experiences of healthcare
  • social isolation
Older People’s experiences of local healthcare

Carrying out in-depth interviews with 34 local older people to better understand their experiences of health interventions and what could have improved them. We focussed on older people with multiple heath conditions – physical and/or mental.

Social isolation

This element of the project looked at the nature, risks and factors contributing to social isolation, and how these impact on people’s health and wellbeing. This report is called Social isolation and its impacts on health and wellbeing in Mid Hampshire.

We hope that the key findings and points for consideration will help us all to improve services and help more people access the right support, at the right time and place.

We would like to give our very grateful thanks to all the people who so generously and openly gave us their time, experience and expertise.
