Action Hampshire is delighted to announce that Hampshire County Council has joined as an official partner for the inaugural Hampshire Changemakers Awards. 

The Hampshire Changemaker Awards is an event celebrating the outstanding achievements of individuals, organisations, and businesses dedicated to creating positive change across Hampshire. The awards ceremony will take place on 27th February 2025 at the Hilton Southampton – Utilita Bowl, in collaboration with the Southern Daily Echo and Hampshire Chamber of Commerce.

The Hampshire Changemakers Awards will recognise and honour those who have made a significant impact across a diverse range of fields, including community development, environmental sustainability, youth leadership, charitable efforts, and inclusive practices. By partnering with Action Hampshire for this prestigious event, Hampshire County Council reinforces its commitment to fostering a thriving, resilient, and compassionate community for all residents.

Leader of Hampshire County Council, Councillor Nick Adams-King, said: “While we have a key role in serving Hampshire residents through the delivery of public services, we also have an important part to play in enabling and influencing change for a better Hampshire. We recognise the high value of partnership working to this end and are enormously grateful for the huge contribution made by volunteers, community groups and charities, as well as business in making this county a fantastic place in which to live. The Hampshire Changemakers Awards is a great opportunity to highlight this and formally celebrate the great the work that they do.”

Nicky Judd, CEO of Action Hampshire, expressed her excitement, adding, “We are thrilled to have Hampshire County Council join us as an official partner. Their support is a testament to the importance of recognising and celebrating the changemakers in our community who inspire, uplift, and make a real difference every day.”

Award Categories

This year’s award categories reflect a wide spectrum of community contributions and impact, including:

  • Volunteer of the Year – Celebrating exceptional dedication to volunteering in the community.
  • Community Project of the Year – Honouring projects that have made a significant positive impact on the local community.
  • Youth Leader Award – Recognising outstanding youth leadership and initiative in community service.
  • Charity Champion – Acknowledging those who have gone above and beyond for charitable causes.
  • Environmental Sustainability Award – Highlighting eco-friendly and sustainable initiatives.
  • ESG Business Excellence Award – Recognising businesses that excel in Environmental, Social, and Governance practices.
  • Wellbeing Champion – Celebrating advocates for mental health and community wellbeing.
  • Inclusive Equity and Diversity Award – Honouring efforts to foster inclusivity and equity.
  • Innovation in Community Partnership and Development Award – Celebrating creative solutions in addressing community needs.
  • Changemaker of the Year Award – Recognising individuals making profound impacts through leadership and dedication to positive change.

Action Hampshire and Hampshire County Council encourage nominations from across the county, inviting businesses, organisations, and individuals to submit names of those they believe deserve recognition.
