If you’d like to find out more about how you can be part of or shape research why not attend our first in person Research Collaborative event.

Join us on Thursday 23 January 10.00 – 12.00  at Winchester Racquets and Fitness, SO22 6AN.  Read on to find out how you can sign up to this exciting event!

What’s the event about?

Hear from four fantastic speakers about how they are engaging under-served communities in research regarding:

  • Maternity disparities
  • Research priorities of the genetic syndrome community
  • The challenges around ethics and gaining consent in kidney research
  • Martha’s rule – empowering patients and those who know them best to seek help beyond the ward team caring for them, if they are worried the patient is deteriorating

You will also have the opportunity to discuss best practice for engaging under-served communities and current local research opportunities with like-minded VCSEs and researchers.

We really encourage any VCSEs and community members who are interested in finding out more about the different types of research happening locally to come along.

Our previous online events have been great opportunities for people to collaborate, so we hope to see as many people at this in-person event as possible for some more useful networking and sharing.

How can I sign-up?

To attend this event, you must be a member of the Research Collaborative. The Research Collaborative brings together VCSE organisations, researchers, and community members to discuss opportunities and best practice for involving under-served communities in health and care research. By signing up to the Research Collaborative you will join our Basecamp platform and can attend as many of the group’s events as you would like.

Once you have signed up to the Research Collaborative, we will contact you with the event details.
