Our Member of the Month for May is Energise Me!

Energise Me is a charity dedicated to tackling the barriers that prevent active lives across Hampshire and Isle Of Wight. Our work revolves around the joint mission of the We Can Be Active strategy. Over 800 individuals and organisations identified we need: positive early experiences, opportunities that meet our interests, safe places and travel routes, support, and bold leaders so that we can all be active in a way that suits us. Physical activity transforms lives and everyone deserves to experience its benefits.

Our wonderful trustee, Julie Aimes, works closely with Energise Me and led their period of transition from part of the Hampshire County Council to becoming an independent charity – you can read her trustee bio via this link!

Energise Me have provided a lovely impact story from their website, which can be read via this link.

Jude set up Walk n Talk 4 Mental Health after lockdown to help destigmatise mental health, connect people with each other in their local communities, and help them get active.

Energise Me work incredibly hard to engage the local community in activity and finding connections with their local community, and we are incredibly proud to have them as our featured member this month.
