Application deadline:  Ongoing, no fixed deadline

Community based organisations such as voluntary groups, registered charities, charitable incorporated organisations, community interest companies and other not-for-profit bodies are invited to apply for funding through the Reaching Communities England programme.

Delivered by The National Lottery Community Fund, this grant programme supports projects that strengthen communities and improve lives across England. Funding is available for initiatives that address

  • poverty, disadvantage or discrimination,
  • support children and young people,
  • tackle health inequalities,
  • promote environmental sustainability,
  • or create inclusive places and activities shaped by local people.

Eligible applicants must be based in England and have appropriate governance structures, including at least two unrelated board or committee members. Partnerships led by eligible organisations may also apply.

Grants range from £20,001 to £20 Millions (with most awards under £500,000)

Funding can cover a broad range of activity costs, including staffing, delivery expenses, community engagement and organisational development.

There is no fixed closing date; applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Decisions can take several months due to the scale and demand of the programme.
