Application deadline: 30 April
Funding to support community and voluntary groups
The SGG scheme provides funding of up to £15,000 in supporting community and voluntary organisations across Basingstoke and Deane to strengthen their services, governance and long‑term resilience.
This includes funding for:
- Strengthening organisational resilience, for example improving financial sustainability, developing new income streams, enhancing governance or building staff/volunteer skills
- Expanding existing services or launching new initiatives to meet unmet local needs
- Projects that support physical and mental wellbeing, respond to cost of living challenges, address gaps in youth provision or improve access to services and activities
Since 2023, the scheme has supported 43 organisations with over £446,000, helping deliver a wide range of impactful projects across the borough.
Online and in‑person Meet the Funder sessions hosted by Basingstoke Voluntary Action will take place in early April. If you can’t attend or would like an informal discussion about your ideas, email scg@basingstoke.gov.uk.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to either attend a session or speak with the team before applying. The scheme guidance notes can be access via this link – https://www.basingstoke.gov.uk/strengthening-guidance
