The A B Charitable Trust is an independent grant-making organisation, founded in 1990 to champion human dignity and support the most marginalised and excluded groups in the UK, who are often from communities experiencing poverty and racial injustice.

Their Open Programme grants are usually between £10,000 to £30,000 per year and are awarded from one to three years and covers both core and project costs.

They support work that promotes human dignity and defends the human rights of the most marginalised and excluded people. Their three priority areas are:

  • Migrants, refugees and asylum seekers
  • Criminal justice and penal reform
  • Human rights, particularly access to justice
