This funding is for organisations in England that are taking action on the root causes of inequality, such as poverty, disadvantage and discrimination.

The National Lottery Community Fund want to support and strengthen work that aims to create lasting change, led or shaped by people with lived experience – looking for work that can grow and continue over the long term.

What they’ll fund:

Work that tackles the root causes of poverty, disadvantage or discrimination. Your application must show how you will:

  • Be led by lived experience
    • Your work must be led by, and accountable to, people with direct experience of the issues you want to change.
  • Make systems change
    • Go beyond short-term fixes and focus on shifting power, reshaping decisions and creating long-term solutions.
  • Work in solidarity
    • Bring people together across different issues and communities, so they can act on shared challenges.
  • Build community power
    • Make sure people have the skills, confidence and support they need to take the lead and influence decisions.
