Through their Community Grants Programme supporting grassroots organisations across the UK that provide safe spaces, mentoring, early intervention support, wellbeing activities and practical skills development. By funding the work happening within local communities, they help create strong foundations for young people to grow, connect and build a positive future.
The KFC Youth Foundation is currently accepting applications for its Community Grant Programme for projects that assist disadvantaged young people, offering two-year grants of £3,000 per year to support organisations that empower young people aged 11 to 25. The total funding available for each successful applicant is £6,000 over the two-year period.
The primary aim of these grants is to provide safe spaces, unlock talent, build life skills, offer mentoring, and enhance employment prospects for young individuals facing economic disadvantages, including care leavers, those experiencing homelessness, young carers, young parents, refugees, and those at risk of or with experience in the criminal justice system.
Eligible applicants include registered charities and community interest companies based in areas of high deprivation within the UK with an annual income not exceeding £400,000.
