Multi-year grants averaging £30,000-£40,000 are made to registered charities in England and Wales working in the areas of supporting disadvantaged children and young people, parenting, education, medical care, prisoners and ex-offenders, arts and culture and religious organisations.

The Trust doesn’t accept unsolicited applications. However, it may consider a letter of introduction from registered charities in England and Wales whose work strongly aligns with its charitable objectives. Grants awarded were often for 3 years or more.

While it doesn’t accept unsolicited applications, the John Armitage Charitable Trust is a significant grant-making charity that awarded grants totalling over £7 million in its last financial year.
