Grants, normally for up to £10,000 are available to UK-based charities working in the United Kingdom with refugees, asylum seekers, victims of trafficking, people in prison, and those with physical and/or mental health issues.

The main activity of the Maingot Charitable Trust is to provide support for those who are socially and economically underprivileged and disadvantaged by providing grants for UK-based charities working with:

o Asylum seekers.
o People with physical and/or mental health issues.
o Prisoners.
o Refugees, and
o Victims of trafficking.

The Trust usually only considers funding bids from those organisations to which it has extended an invitation to apply for funding. The Trust’s policy is to support UK based charities (other than on an exceptional basis) and to form strong partnerships with grantee charities so that it can offer some security in their funding.

Further information about the Trust is available on the Charity Commission website
