Applications are open four times a year, so please apply closest to when you want to undertake the work
The B&Q Foundation supports hundreds of registered charities across the UK every year. It provides grants to improve or develop spaces that benefit local communities. Follow the three-step process below to apply for a B&Q Foundation grant.
Applications are reviewed and awarded based on the strength of application. They look specifically at the following three areas:
- How much the charity and this project is reaching and helping those most in need ?
- How much the project is improving a space where people can feel at home – creating somewhere that is comfortable, safe, and welcoming?
- The difference that the project will make – e.g. no. of people reached, longevity, impact
Grants are awarded of up to £10,000 for building or indoor projects, and up to £5,000 for garden projects.
Projects need to be delivered within 6 months of receiving the grant. The dates for the 2025 funding rounds are:
22 April, 9:30 – 9 May, 18:00
14 July, 9:30 – 1 August, 18:00
20 October, 9:30 – 7 November, 18:00
