The Acceleration Fund has been created in response to the urgent need for people to be able to access consistent, high-quality services wherever they live and whatever their circumstances.  The aim of the Acceleration Fund is to make highly impactful services accessible to more blind and vision-impaired people across the United Kingdom.

The Fund is aimed at UK not-for-profit organisations that are:

o Running a successful project or service for vision impaired people.
o Keen to use your knowledge and experience so that your project reaches more people with vision loss, and
o Open to working with a partner organisation to enable more equitable service provision.

Grants of up to £75,000 are available to groups of between 2 and 4 organisations to work together to expand the geographic and demographic reach of their existing services.

The following types of organisation are eligible to receive funding from the Fund:

o UK registered charities.
o Registered Charitable Incorporated Organisations (CIOs).
o Charitable companies, limited by guarantee.
o Community Interest Companies (CIC), limited by guarantee, and
o Exempt charities (for example, educational establishments).

Further information and guidance, including eligibility, key dates and how to apply, is available on the Fight for Sight website.
