The Strengthening Communities Grant Scheme provides funding to eligible community and voluntary sector organisations providing services in Basingstoke and Deane of up to £15,000 for organisational and service development so they can deliver the services our residents need now and in the future. The key focus for this grant scheme is on supporting groups to become more resilient and financially sustainable so they can continue to support our communities and adapt to changing needs.
The scheme is open for applications from 10th March 2025 and the deadline for applications is 5pm on 23th April 2025.
The grants can be used to support a range of organisational development activities such as developing new income streams, improving efficiency, redesigning services or upskilling staff and volunteers. Funding can also be used to support service development such as expanding already successful services into new parts of the borough or developing new services to meet gaps in current provision. In this round, there is also the opportunity for groups to apply for two years funding if their project meets specific criteria.
