Deadline: 15 August 2023

The Home Office has recently launched two schemes to provide protective security at places of worship: Places of Worship Security Funding Scheme and Protective Security for Mosques Scheme.

The schemes are open to all places of worship in England and Wales who have experienced hate crime at their site, or who feel their faith community is vulnerable to hate crime. Through the schemes, places of worship can apply for measures such as CCTV, secure fencing, and intruder alarms to be installed at their site to improve security against hate crime. All measures provided by the scheme will be supplied and installed free of charge.
