Greenham Trust- cost of living, Basingstoke

 
Cost of Living Community Fund
 
Working in partnership with the Greenham Trust, the council has launched the Cost of Living Community Fund.
 
Any not-for-profit community or voluntary organisation or group located in the borough can now apply for up to £5,000 of funding to help them provide services and activities to support residents of Basingstoke and Deane affected by the rising cost of living.
 
Applications to the Fund will need to demonstrate clearly how the funding will help borough residents with the rising cost of living, provide evidence there is a real community need for what the funding is being sought for and have clear measurable outcomes. 
 
Examples of activities and services organisations can apply for funding for include:
  • Providing advice and assistance with financial and debt management 
  • Providing emergency food supplies or essential household items 
  • Providing mental health support to those residents facing crisis due to the rising cost of living 
  • Supporting residents with better energy use and energy efficiency 
  • Supporting residents with reducing food waste
