For committee members and staff at village halls, community associations, and other organisations that hire out their premises to a range of other groups.

Do you ever feel isolated in your role, stuck for ideas and wishing you could find out what other organisations do to tackle the issues that you’re struggling with?

We can help you make connections and share ideas with people who run community centres and halls across Hampshire. We’re offering two ways you can join in with our network:

Connect online with your peers: We run an online message board using the Basecamp platform. We’ve got over 70 people signed up from community buildings across Hampshire, from Ringwood in the south-west to Hartley Wintney in the north-east. Here are some recent discussion topics people have covered on Basecamp:

  • How to demonstrate impact in your grant applications
  • Ways of taking event bookings online
  • How much to charge for hiring out equipment like tables and chairs

This is a great way of making links and sharing experiences with other people who run Hampshire’s community centres and halls. It’s free for Action Hampshire members so email us if you’d like to join in the online networking and follow this link to find out more about Basecamp.
