A Million Acts of Hope is national campaign about celebrating positive actions at a time when stories of hate and division may feel loud and oppressive.

At Action Hampshire we believe there are numerous of acts of kindness, care and connection happening in our community (and beyond) every day and now is the time to shine a light on these. We believe we can create healthier and happier communities if we bring people together not apart.

Claire Vincent, our Interim Head of People explains “our key priority is to strengthen and support voluntary, community and social enterprises and we do this by advocating the incredible work these organisations do so it seems very fitting that we join A Million Acts of Hope.”

From the volunteers who run food banks, community wardrobes, memory clubs and sight loss cafes, to our compassionate health champions who provide a link between the community and health services, we are proud to highlight their achievements and support the organisations they represent.

Let’s not forget our Hampshire Changemakers winners and their incredible acts of positivity. There’s Jody who uses her own lived experience to support those affected by endometriosis or Reubin who has employed creativity to empower young people through music. Our list of hopeful acts is endless, and we have many more to share!

The people and organisations we support are shining examples of positivity and we believe they bring hope through cohesion creating happier, healthier communities.

So, this May let’s celebrate what brings us together rather than what divides us. Look out for the national campaign running 13-20 May! You can sign up alongside other organisations such as Crisis, LGBT Foundation, Mencap, NCVO, Refugee Action…
