Community Café
“Our Community Café is inside the thriving Community Hub, Unit 12 in Winnall, Winchester. The Café is open daily from 9am-2pm and offers a low priced, healthy menu where members of the community are welcomed to sit as long as they want to in a warm, relaxed, inclusive environment and access affordable meals. The café is open to all and welcomes a wide range of customers from local business people, parents and children, elderly people, people from the Community Hub and people on a low income.”
Community Cooking
“Munch operate a wide range of community cooking workshops, including the after school Grub Club which runs in school settings and in community settings – aimed at families on a low income with children; the Friendship Through Food project run with members of Winchester Go LD (adults with learning disabilities) and the Step Out project – a lunch club at and vulnerable adults experiencing isolation and loneliness.
All the Munch cooking initiatives engage participants in healthy eating and cooking and encourage participants to build the confidence and learn new skills and recipes to cook from scratch. The communal cooking and eating aspects of our workshops help with family cohesion, building friendships, building community and boosting wellbeing.”
